Ingredients
7/8 c. cake mix or pancake mix
1 egg
2 tbs. milk
1 tbs. powdered green tea
Sugar or cinnamon sugar
Oil
Directions
Heat the oil in a deep fat fryer to about 375 degrees. While the oil heats, melt some butter in a seperate saucepan.
Make a green tea mixture by adding the tea powder into a cup of water.
Follow the packet guidelines for the pancake mix, then add the egg, milk, butter and green tea and whisk until smooth.
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin until about 1/4 inch thick. Cut out small circles and roll into balls. Fry the dough balls for 2-3 minutes in the deep fat fryer, or until golden brown.
Remove excess oil by draining on paper towels, then sprinkle with ordinary sugar or cinnamon.
